Our tinctures undergo a three month extraction process in organic cane alcohol (that's triple the extraction time of most of the other mushroom extracts on the market!) followed by a 24 hour hot water extraction to allow for maximum potency and bio-availability of all medicinal compounds present in our cordyceps.

What is a dual extract?
Medicinal mushrooms have both alcohol and water soluble compounds that can be
extracted, and in order to get the full spectrum of medicinal compounds in our tinctures, we do what's called a dual extraction. This just means that the mushrooms undergo an alcohol extraction followed by a hot water extraction to be sure that all the medicinal properties the mushroom has to offer are present in our tinctures.
What does "fruiting body" mean?
The mushroom fruiting body is the part of the mushroom that grows out of the ground or tree, as opposed to the mycelium, or the "roots" of the mushroom. Some companies sell mycelium-based products, and the problem is that these often contain only trace amounts of beneficial compounds, and lots of fillers and grain starches. If you are looking for the most potent and beneficial mushroom product, you want one made from the fruiting bodies.
How should I store my tincture?
Our tinctures are shelf stable, and should be kept in a place that is cool and dry.
